Membership platform fee
A 5% platform fee applies to every membership payment — the one-time initiation fee and annual dues, including each yearly renewal. Members pay it on top of your stated amounts, so your club always nets 100% of what it sets.
What clubs set
- Initiation fee (one-time, for new members)
- Annual dues (auto-renews yearly)
- Both amounts are fully customizable
What members pay at checkout
- Club's stated fee (goes 100% to the club)
- + 5% platform fee on initiation and dues
- The fee recurs with every annual dues renewal
- Total shown clearly before payment
Example: A club with a $350 initiation fee and $175 annual dues
New member pays at joining:
$350.00 initiation + $17.50 platform fee
$175.00 first year dues + $8.75 platform fee
Total: $551.25
Club receives:
$350.00 initiation fee
$175.00 annual dues
Total: $525.00 (100% of stated fees)
Each annual renewal thereafter: the member pays $183.75 ($175.00 dues + $8.75 platform fee) and the club receives the full $175.00.
Rod fee split by classification
Every booking’s rod fee is split between the managing club and the landowner based on the property’s classification. Higher tiers mean a bigger landowner share and a smaller club share — the landowner decides during onboarding.
Select
50%
club share
Landowner keeps 50% · Baseline water.
Premier
35%
club share
Landowner keeps 65% · Standout water.
Signature
25%
club share
Landowner keeps 75% · Exceptional water.
Splits shown are each tier's standard defaults. Clubs and landowners can also agree on a higher landowner share within the tier's range (Select up to 60%, Premier up to 70%, Signature up to 80%), or a flat per-rod amount.
Prefer a predictable annual payment? Landowners can instead choose upfront lease: the managing club pays a fixed annual lease via ACH, and then keeps 100% of rod fees. The landowner receives the full agreed amount; AnglerPass adds a 5% facilitation feeon top to the club’s charge. An upfront retainer works the same way (same 5%facilitation fee), except the club keeps 100% of rod fees only until the retainer is recouped — then the property converts to its rod-fee split and normal landowner payouts begin.
Cross-Club Network revenue
When your members fish at another club’s properties, the angler pays a $25/rod/day cross-club access fee on top of the usual rod fee. Your club earns a $10/rod/dayreferral — passive revenue just for being in the network.
All tiers include cross-club access: Starter clubs can hold up to 2 partner agreements, Standard up to 10, and Pro clubs get unlimited agreements.

Member referral
The hosting club still receives its full rod-fee share per the property’s classification — same as any booking.

What anglers pay
No subscription required for core access — you pay for club membership and fishing access. An optional Angler Pro membership adds rewards, perks, and enhanced Compass AI.
Club membership
- Initiation fee— One-time, set by your club
- Annual dues— Yearly, auto-renews
- Platform fee— 5% on initiation and dues — including each yearly renewal
Membership amounts vary by club. You’ll see the full breakdown before you pay.
Fishing access
- Rod fee— Per rod, per day, set by the property
- Platform fee— 15% of rod fees
- Cross-club access fee— $25/rod/day (only when fishing outside your home club)
- Independent guide service fee— 10% of guide rate (7% if the guide is Guide Pro; only when adding an independent guide)
Non-fishing guests are free. Only anglers with rods pay the rod fee. The $25/rod/day cross-club fee is split $15 to AnglerPass and $10 to your home club as a referral. The hosting club keeps its rod-fee share per the property’s classification.
Angler Pro — $79/year
Points, enhanced Compass AI, partner perks, and priority access. Entirely optional — the core platform stays free.
What landowners receive
No subscription fees. No upfront costs. You set your rod rate, and you get paid when people fish your water.
Three ways to get paid
Option 1 — Per-trip rod fee split
Choose a classification during onboarding. Each booking’s rod fee is split with the managing club per your tier:
- Select: You keep 50% of every rod fee
- Premier: You keep 65% of every rod fee
- Signature: You keep 75% of every rod fee
Standard splits shown — you and your club can agree on a higher share within your tier's range (up to 60% / 70% / 80%), or a flat per-rod amount.
Option 2 — Upfront annual lease
Prefer a predictable annual payment? Propose a lease amount; once your club accepts, you receive 100% of that amount via ACH.
- · You set the annual amount ($1,000 - $1,000,000)
- · Paid upfront via ACH, not credit card
- · You receive 100% of the agreed amount
- · AnglerPass adds a 5% facilitation fee on top, paid by the club
- · Club keeps 100% of rod fees thereafter
Option 3 — Upfront retainer
A middle path: your club pays you an upfront retainer via ACH (from $500) and you receive 100% of it — AnglerPass adds the same 5% facilitation fee on top, paid by the club. The club then keeps 100% of rod fees until the retainer is recouped; after that, the property converts to your chosen rod-fee split tier and normal per-trip payouts begin.
Whichever you choose: platform fees and cross-club access fees are paid by the angler and do not reduce your payout.
What independent guides receive
No subscription. No listing fee. A one-time $49 verification fee covers your background check — after that, you set your rates and keep 100% of them. The angler pays a 10% service fee on top (7% if you're on Guide Pro) — it never comes out of your pocket.
Per-trip payout breakdown
Independent guide add-on is optional for anglers. When an angler selects you for their trip, the service fee is added to their checkout total. You also set a half-day rate separately. Payouts are processed securely via Stripe Connect.
Guide Pro — $79/month
Featured placement, analytics, lead routing, and a reduced 7% angler service fee on your trips. The free tier always stays free.
What outfitters pay
No subscription, no listing fee, no per-guide seat charges. AnglerPass keeps a 15% platform fee on booked trip packages — you price every package and set every guide share.
Per-booking split breakdown
Both payout legs run through Stripe Connect — your guide’s share is paid directly to them, never through your books. Full details on the outfitters page.
What collectives pay
Free to apply, free for members. Organizers run their community on a simple subscription and can earn referral revenue as members book — paid out through Stripe Connect.
Organizer subscription
Referral earnings are based on eligible platform revenue — not a share of the provider’s booking price. Organizers who are verified guides (or run a guide business) can also earn on standard provider terms. Full details on the Outdoor Collectives page.
Powered by Stripe
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Members can manage their payment methods, view billing history, and update their credit card or bank account at any time through their account settings.
Annual dues auto-renew each year. You’ll receive a reminder before renewal, and you can cancel anytime from your membership settings. See our policies page for details on renewals and grace periods.
